Blog Hop with Gratitude

Hello friends. Today I am joining the Monthly Team Blog Hop with Kylie's Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training Program. We are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all of over the world who are part of Kylie's training group. If this is your first visit to my blog, welcome!!

I jumped right in to this blog hop with this happy blue bird card I created using the Birds & Branches Bundle found in the 2020-2021 Annual catalog. I chose an almost monochromatic palette for this Z fold card.

This card showcases on of our new in colors, Misty Moonlight. The base card and the circle die were created with Misty Moonlight. The Z-fold design card features an attached inner card with three decorated panels, the front, the middle, and the inside back of the card. The inner card is made with Night of Navy card stock. On the Whisper White front I featured  the circle die from the bundle, cut out with a scalloped circle die, the bird's nest, and mama bird watching over her eggs.

The bird stamp is a two step stamping process. I used two colors of ink, Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray.

The middle panel in the card features the same Flowers for Every Season designer series paper used on the back area of the Z-fold, and another sweet little blue bird.

The back inside panel again features a sweet blue bird, but also the follow up sentiment which coordinates with the Thank You phase stamped on the front of the card.

To complete the card I embellished with little light blue flowers accented with in-color enamel dot Bumblebee centers and a double ribbon bow.

Below you will find the links to continue on the blog hop. Thanks for hopping by and I hope to see you again soon.

Great Tiding Step-fold Card

Hello Stampin' friends. Today I have a special Step-fold card to share with you, one I created using the *NEW TODAY* bundle, Great Tidings. In case you are unaware, today is the first day of Stampin' Up!'s new mini catalog, the August - December mini. Or as I like to call it, the fall and holiday mini catalog. There are a plethora of gorgeous stamps, papers, trims, etc. in the new catalog, and one of those is this bundle.

To create my card you will need:

Blackberry Bliss Cardstock – 2 pieces

1. 10 ½ inches x 4 ¼ inches

Score the long side at ½ inch, 1 ¾ inches, 3 ¾ inches, and 5 inches

2. 4 5/8 inches x 3 ½ inches

Score the longer side at ½ inch and 1 ¾ inches

Rainbow Glimmer Paper – 3 pieces

1. 4 x 3 ¼ inches

2. 4 x 1 ¾ inches

3. 4 x 3 ½ inches

Gold Specialty Paper

1. Cut out the Moroccan doorway - 4 x 3 ½ inches

2. Cut three of the three petal leaves - scrap

3. Cut out the Bethlehem star - scrap

Directions:

1. Stamp, color, and cut out your Magi. Set them aside.

2. Glue the Moroccan doorway cut to the front of the 4 x 3 ½ inch glimmer paper. Use scissors and your paper trimmer to trim the gold to fit the 3 ½ inch wide glimmer paper. Use your scissors to trim the top of the doorway and the glimmer paper, leaving a border the same width as the sides.

3. Glue the 4 x 3 ¼ inch glimmer paper ¼ inch down from the top edge of the unscored end of the 10 ½ inch piece of blackberry bliss.

4. Burnish the score lines on the long piece. Glue the ½ inch scored tab to the back of the card.

5. Glue the 4 x 1 ¾ inch strip of Glimmer paper to the front of the folded box.

6. Glue the Moroccan doorway to the bottom edge of the smaller piece of Blackberry Bliss, placing the bottom of the doorway even with the bottom edge of the paper.

7. Glue the bottom edge of the smaller piece of blackberry bliss (with the doorway) to the front of the card, 3/8 inches up from the fold line.

8. Apply glue to the ½ inch flap on the smaller piece of blackberry bliss. Flatten the card and glue down the edge where it rests against the card when flattened.

9. Apply the Magi and the gold leaves. Stamp your sentiment – I used versamark ink on black cardstock with gold embossing powder.

I hope my tutorial made sense to you. I will tell you that the shorter piece of Blackberry bliss cardstock has a unique measurement for this version of the card. That is because of the doorway.

I hope this was inspirational for you. Thanks for stopping by today.

Transparent Whiskey Business Man Card

Hello friends, happy July 4th. Apparently I have been sitting on this post for a couple of days - completely unintentionally. I went to pin the photos and found the post had not published.

Today I am sharing another Whiskey Business card - an acrylic card covered in "man" designer series papers and stamping.

The acrylic cards are not a Stampin' Up! product but something I purchased from Amazon (Clear Presentation Cover - 100-Pack Transparent Binding Cover, PVC Report Cover 10-mil, Clear 8.5 x 11 inches). Each sheet provides two cards, just like regular cardstock.

For this card I cut the transparent sheet to be 4.25 x 11 inches, and scored at 5.5 inches (I have a thing for top fold cards). An important thing to remember when using transparent cards is where to hide the adhesive. In this case, I placed the map print matting inside the card, adhered to the front transparent layer, behind the front of the card.

Design Series Paper from World of Good specialty paper was used to make this card also with a gold grid card front from the Forever Gold Laser Cut specialty paper (I adore this pack of  paper!). The card was finished with Gilded Gems and diagonal strips of map paper.

The inside of the card is made much like the front, only more simple. I stamped and colored a drink on the inside sheet and adhered it to the transparent card. I then added a matting to the back of the card, facing front, and hid the adhesive inside the layers.

I hope you enjoyed today's card. Supplies used are linked below:
